AMP Upholstery does it's part to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
The following are examples of how we at AMP Upholstery recycle the materials we use in our every-day manufacturing.

- Wood -
Any wood materials used inn the construction of frames (e.g.. for sofas, love seats and chairs) are disposed of at the local disposal facility were it is then recycled. One of the bi-products of this recycled wood is wood chips.
- Fabrics -
Any remnants (fabric) left over from a project gets donated to such programs as Recycling Matters.
Unfortunately, most of the old fabrics stripped from furnishings for recover, will find there way into the landfill.

- Foam -
85% (or more) of all the foam recovered from reupholstery, or from the off-cuts produced from new upholstery work, is donated to industry.
In most cases, the recycled foam will be turned into "foam rebond", which is used as carpet under pad.
| |
- Metals -
Metals, such as steel springs, extension clips and old hardware are collected and taken to the metal recycling bin found at the local landfill.
Much like the old food cans you dispose of in your Blue Box, These metal upholstery parts and scraps will in part be recycled into cans, metal beams, industrial fasteners, etc.
